To say that I am happy about results would be like self-delusion. Okay, I admit that I didn't put in my 100% but I guess it is like 82% of effort now, so much higher from O levels era. Never did I expect myself to study even harder for promos that for Os.

What can I say? It is my fault for not studying smart, not throwing in whatever I have for promos. Maybe I under estimated the papers. Maybe I felt that I had prepared sufficiently and had enough things in my head. Maybe... I don't know.
Quite a lot of effort, results don't really reflect. 事倍功半... most apt to describe my situation!

I hope that I am suddenly enlightened. Wendy, faster 开窍!

I remembered in both primary and secondary school, there is this trend of my academics being of excellent quality at a certain point in time. Peak, where are you? Please show yourself soon to boost my confidence. I haven't seen you for a really looooooooooonggggggg time :(

That time they said that we gotta pass everything with at least a subpass to get promoted.

I would consider my options again. In my opinion, advance means you cannot make it, but they think you can make it so they push you up. But in actual fact you really cannot make it. After all, if this year's foundation not good how to ensure good grades next year? Furthermore next year is SYF year. Future prospects won't be good with bad grades right?

I told SohWoon that I will 发奋图强努力读书 if I get promoted. I try my best lah.

Anyway, promo grades were improvement from midyears.
Perhaps the markers are lenient.

Anyway I was reading CSE lecture notes just now and there is this part on this certain village. The authorities in tha village actually painted the mountain green to cover up the fact that they mined till the mountain was barren and disregared the environment. It isn't about how they disregard the mountain now, it is about how do you paint a mountain? Quite fascinating.

I have no idea what is wrong with me. I have been trying to find that aptly named math revision exercises for like an hour and I cannot find it in the mountain of files I have! I searched under the chem mountain, the math mountain and the tuition stuff mountain and cannot find!

Must be karma for saying that C and E misplace their stuff so easily. But then again, maybe it isn't their karma.

I remembered clearly that I took it out yesterday in tuition to do the particular differentiation question and put it back in my bag after solving. I remembered checking under the table to see if I had left anything behind. But that stupid stack of papers is missing! I'm going consultation tomorrow and w/o that worksheet its like, 1/3 of the queries I had are gone.

Maybe the stack know how to teleport. Maybe it doesn't like me scribbling and doodling on it. Speaking of stack, stump and arch comes to my mind and I forgot what are they. Must be some geography thing.

Go consultation on a Saturday very weird meh?

The start of the summer Olympics in Beijing implies additional reports on China which means more readings. Oh, I am having a writer’s block now, can’t think of anything constructive to write for the CSE essay :(

I’m online almost every day but I do not blog almost every day -__-

Anyhow, on 080808 my school made all the J1s to go on a learning (eating) journey to anywhere they want. My class chose Arab Street because it is so near to Shaw. Hurhur. So we ate prata as a whole class in the morning while observing people walking around and made small talk for like two hours before walking to Shaw to watch the mummy.

Was anticipating watching the movie however the mummy was too predictable for my liking. Anyway after the movie went to Bugis Junction to eat and I saw a lot of shou-ren there. S and I both bought ban mian but she has very little meat but mine was totally spammed with meat.

And we had this memorable conversation.

R: You know the auntie is it?
W: No I dunno. Maybe she like me hahaha.

And the three of them gave me the -__- face.
At the same time some more! Hahaha I think my friends are funny. :D

Some thoughts

What does responsibility means?
I define responsibility as putting in your best effort in whatever you do, because you are responsible for your own work. However some people are not responsible enough to put in effort and someone must be there to do the dirty job of cleaning up.

Yes, maybe it is hard work, having to juggle so many commitments, I understand that there’s so little time, so many things to do. Perhaps you don’t see this as a priority. Perhaps you tried to. Perhaps you just don’t get it. Perhaps, perhaps we should stop making excuses.

Well, I am not angry at the fact that I need to clean up so often and refine details. I am not pissed that I need to do things that I am not supposed to do. I am just… disappointed. I want all of us to do well, and since this is a group effort and that stupid thing takes up such a huge proportion, I cannot ignore the fact that our report sucks and we are so screwed. Correction, we are so dead.

Sigh. I hope this crap ends soon. Faster faster faster! J told me last week that project work would be abolished next year. How lucky.

If only I was born six months later :(

Kayaking

In the morning, super not looking forward to kayaking session. Woke up in the morning feeling super cold. It didn't help that the bus 39 which came had its air-con on full blast. What if we get sun-burnt/capsize/whatever?

Fast forward:

We reached MacRitchie Reservoir. Saw a monkey eating rambutans on a tree and made qq protect me in case the monkey jump down on me/shit/throw ranbutans, hahaha. In the end the monkey didn't do anything and we arrived safely at the kayaking place.

Paired up with qq and the journey of taking the kayak from the store to the water was super long and tiring, the kayak was meant to be heavy and idiot-proof, which means that we must really suck if we capsized but hey, we didn't okay! :D

Anyhow, we began to kayak and qq was super disappointed at my sense of direction (apart form that i not bad) and we began kayaking in circles, banging into the pavement once, splashing water at people, complaining that our stupid kayak filled w water making our (okay maybe mine only) butts wet and resting and stuff. Oh yeah, E's sph 50 sunblock was wasted as there was no sun!

After kayaking in circles we went on this expedition where the instructors made us stop in the middle of the reservoir and sing school song -__-

Kayaking turned out to be not bad after all, XV can consider going there to play...
Anyway XV exco, I think I should be demoted soon as I have been playing floor ball, tennis (both virtual and reality) and going kayaking! Please consider demoting me!

Yay we had a performance at cerebal palsy on Friday and I had a henna done which turned out to be... :)

Anyhow, the performance was not bad, cosidering that we had no professional advice. Transported the cello (like a turtle not glam queen) back and fro from school. Hahaha and we went back to cp after transportation to interact with the kids (not the buffet even tho it was quite good)

I was excitedly queueing up at the henna booth. Then it was my turn. I requested for a small small star. At first, the auntie drew two edges of a star using free hand. In the back of my mind I was thinking, "whoa, not bad uh her sense of angle proportions". Then I got a shock when she drew the third side. Super not proportionate! Okay, never mind about the star, I thought. It will fade off soon. I got a second shock when she then proceeded to draw a smiley face inside.

Looks like chocolate.

In the evening, met Hj and J to watch dark knight and they both thought I drew the star myself! My mother and sister also! Tsk tsk tsk they have no confidence in my artistic flair :(

Quick updates:

1) Got fever and vomited like siao a few days ago

2) Got scammed twice. First is when my mom+dad bluff me on Monday that Tuesday was youth day. So i happily texted E asking her if there's school tomorrow. And E told me that youth day-s falls on monday-s! scam :(

3) Scammed for second time today. Didn't fully utilise mc as I didn't want to go for make up practical, C&E told me in the morning that all practicals were changed to tutorials! scam scam scam scam :( :(

Sidetrack: I decided after yesterday to take my parent's information with a pinch of salt. Lesson learnt: must check with other people in case of information failure next time and fully utilise the nan(3) de(2) de(4) mc!

4) J, R and S have discovered my ability of piao-ing my voice whenever i get ji(1) dong(4), which is a bad thing

5) Failed chemistry with a high U :) and felt alright. Surprisingly hahahhahaha

Sick (not in the brain or mind)

Woke up yesterday after the afternoon nap feeling like crap. Dizzy and feeling warm all over. Crawled out of bed and went to celebrate mum's birthday. Vomitted like don't know how many times over dinner and my sister commented that I looked pathetic and everything -_-

I was still vomitting later on in the night. Basically I vommited what I ate. As someone who eats alot, one could guess the frequency of me running to the toilet to erm... discharge (:

Sidetrack 1: The first thing my sister said today when she woke up is omg you look so feeble. By the way my sister tried to bring my pillow to a friend's chalet today -_-

Don't understand what's with her. Sometimes I feel like she's my younger sister instead...

Sidetrack 2: My mum commented that it was the first time she had to look after her kid on her birthday. Maybe it makes her birthday more memorable hehehehe

Sidetrack 3: This was the first time that I never fully utilise 2 days worth of MC. I told my mum that I needed to go to school tomorrow due to practical. Oh my Ava look at how being in MJ has changed me. In the past, I would have fully taken advantage of it and rot at home :(

A few days ago the mother was changing bed lining in my room. She was changing the bedsheets of the sister when she stepped into the room.

Hello everyone, today is supposedly the end of the crazy mid-years for the majority of the mj-pasirians. At eleven a.m on Wednesday, we chiong-ed back to our homes to collect the potluck food for the CO farewell lunch for Mr N and Miss C

CO farewell lunch was not as screwed as I thought it would be. There was like enough food for everyone and two highlight dishes: high class sausages and super nice jelly for lunch. The members were interacting (albeit in their small groups) and I guess it serves as time for small group bonding. Anyhow, it was quite a success in the in the sense that the fish balls were the first to be cleared (: I must emphasize that I didn't eat like 10 fb to clear then okay!

As my mother would say,"all children like fish balls" :D

CO chalet was super fun! Actually the turn out rate was quite pathetic but for a small chalet like ours it is of appropriate size (: Oh and Wii is super duper fun! Super addictive, especially Mario games.

I must emphasize the fact that games like Mario are not Wendy-games.

Was quite proud of the fact that I was awake for the whole night. Then at seven (I think) someone said "let's sleep now."

So anti-climax -_-

Anyhow people were hogging beds/blankets/pillows and sleeping very soundly. It was freezing cold this morning and thus I separated the pillow and its case to keep me warm. It was a very pathetic sight. And when I was awake at about ten I realised that there were towels on the table. Scammed TTM!

Something funny happened. I was woken up by vibrations from the phone. Then I was stoning and strategising (HAHA) how to kope bedsheets/blankets from unsuspecting victims sleeping like logs then I heard a wierd sound.

I wanted to laugh but had to control lah. Then I decided to investigate the source of the weird sound. It came from the other side of the room.

Then I heard it again. Then I turned and looked at C and he made me laugh and we woke a lot of people up. HAHAHA

W's observations made@ chalet:

- SJ is house of the dead pro. Super steady!
- TW is super high at night and in the early morning and stones for the rest of the day
- HK always get black jet in Mario
- JX the hogger totally unaffected by the noises we made while Wii-ing and continued sleeping.
- D is a hogger and a pig in disguise
- ED craves for green tea mcflurry at 4 in the morning
- E was tortured by D while she was trying to sleep

J's productive studying:

Today was a super good session for J as she finished studying 4 lectures in a short time span of 3 and 1/2 hours with little distractions from W and her pokemon(s). J was super motivated today, she called her friends to clarify when she didn't understand the concepts and J corrected her friend's photocopied notes. J did not stone or observe a lot of people today. She even did notes on foolscap paper and re-did questions in the lecture notes.

Overall performance today: Excellent.

My Korean boyfriend which is very smelly now. The smell on the lower part of the fingerboard is... (: It suggests traces of SULO, haha. I suspect that someone stepped on dog poo, played my KBF and made it smelly. Anyway I'm quite unhappy that nobody is using my KBF now! It is trapped in the smelly cello case which make it smelly-ER.

My poor KBF. COME MJ! :((

Hello Earthlings, I'm still on the GTTM resolution (:

School was fun today. The day started with free&easy PE. I played tennis again today. To play tennis one must chiong down the PE store to take rackets and tennis balls, then make a dash for the tennis courts. Tennis is a really cool sport because it makes one perspire even before playing.
Yay I love tennis even though I cannot serve and whack properly.

Five months in MJ and I observed something. Everyday without fail there would be irritating birds flying around in MJ canteen. The birds in MJ are different from outside birds. The birds have no qualms about stealing food from plates placed on the tables. They absolutely love flying over human heads. Today I witnessed a bird (not sure if it is the same one) steal food from a plate. It was the same scenario at both recess and lunch. Oh I hate such flying objects, and they shit everywhere.

Major discovery today: Milo and chrysanthemum white tea, when drunk continuously gives rise to LS :D

Yesterday was a busy day.

In the morning had X-Versatile training. Saturday's attendance wasn't very good due to many members not coming (all valid reasons haha) however I guess Saturday's training was quite productive and we learnt how to use new machines and laugh at more other random people. Oh I ran on the treadmill today and felt very accomplished after which my brain began to send signals to my stomach :D

Then we went to a exciting place to eat brunch and the food there is said to excite your senses. Anyway that place is called Kentucky Fried Chicken and they give very little button mushrooms in their shrooms burger which is supposed to be spammed with button mushrooms and they mass spam mayonnaise in cheese fries.

Anyhow, after training the next part of the day was spent doing CO stuff at the Airport. Anyway yesterday was quite productive considering that we were talking and whining while doing assigned jobs (we did stuff for graduation all the way till ten plus!) and we had good laughs at stuff, like the teriyaki incident and the Chinese incident (:
I must say, our committee has high potential!

Today as usual was chiong homework day. Oh I'm very irritated by the fact that I cannot find my prss student planner which has been missing since Thursday which means that I'll have to retrace my every step since Wednesday and go back to all the classrooms I have been to and find?

Very irritating. I recorded plenty of stuff inside and important notes :(

Daily Highlights, 5/5 to 8/5

Monday was a good day. My hair was super duper obedient therefore its a super super good hair day! That kind of day is like one term only got once so its super memorable. It actually cheered me up for the whole day. Oh by the way I broke a spoon in school on monday. haha.

Tuesday was SPA day. Went to the toilet like 1000 times because I was too nervous? I realised that even for major practicals like this if you break something you'll have to pay for it -.-

Wednesday was CO election day. Waited till like seven plus before I got called in for interview, and you know that period before intervew is those times where you cannot concentrate and a lot of brain cells die in the process because you are too nervous thinking of what they'll ask and how to answer, stuff like that. Anyhow I guess I was quite lucky, only the seniors interviwed me and the teachers were out ( Praying to Avalokitesvara really works! ) however after today, I could not decide if it was a good or bad thing...

Thursday, elections results out, AQM + SL. Congrats to all who got in, especially C and E ((:
Also had a math test, could not prove my M.I which makes me very irritated.
Got a shock when I saw the verification slip today, SGD$96 for two subjects :0
chinese oral today was quite screwed; how would you promote Singapore to friends overseas who have never been to Singapore before ?

Anyhow, Jessica misses me too much and is making up excuses beacuse she wants to see me! :D

Hello hello yesterday was Labour Day which is a public holiday which is no school day and I missed 9X50 = 450mins of lessons :D

So yesterday, I went to the new Downtown East eHub and watched Iron Man with E/HJ/J. Ironman is cool and he is super duper smart. While watching the movie I suddenly had this thought: It'll be cool if I could do physics...

The sad truth is that my physics cannot make it :(

Sidetrack: Took UNSW science quiz on Tuesday, almost certain that I'll get a COP. The paper too physics already and has elements of biology. Sigh.

Oh regarding eHub, basically that place got nothing for you to shop except a NTUC hahaha. Oh and it is like a foodie haven, there is like a lot a lot of restaurants setting up shop there and its like food food food and more fooodddddddddddddddddd

Anyhow I realised that my bffs take pictures at gatherings for the sole purpose of blogging! zzz

The practises ended on Saturday after the concert. Basically almost the whole of the later part of the week was spent on practising and practising. I guess that is the price to pay for going to MJ..

Anyway, rehearsals at VJ was quite a disaster. I made so many mistakes and had super inaccurate pitching... it was like a piece played in the earlier part of the year when we just started practise and it wasn't of performing standards. For the record, I saw the conductress bao, got all angry and flustered when we were in the assigned holding area.

In between the break to perform, I went to crash TPJ holding area and asked W to revise the combined jc's song with me. ( THANKYOU dear senior ) At the same time,I made a promise to myelf to not hun in major scale combine anymore. The combined song was _______ ( fill in the blanks) but it was cheng-ed (1) quite well by the good people of tpjco.

Anyhow, it is really heartening to see everybody trying their best to play the piece again in the holding area. (we were in the same holding area as TJ)
Perhaps, this is what Co is all about; teamwork.
By the way, mjco's performance got positive feedback. It was up to standard, actually.

And I saw friends whom I haven't seen for the longest time (:

Back to MJ, met up with HJ and J. Ate Popeye's and ice-cream. It was a wonderful night, talking about random stuff and joking and doing unglam things.
Yay I love gatherings! :)

By the way,
Tomorrow is Ben&Jerry's free scoop day and Earth Day.

Today is a very lovely friday as there isn't school or co today :D

It was a super wonderful feeling this morning. I haven't felt like that for a long time already. I felt relaxed, happy and thankful. Waking up late and not doing any thing productive. Basically today was spent doing recreational activities (:

Went back to prss to collect my O level cert today, together with HJ, and she was super punctual today!! Watched definitely, maybe. It was a typical fairytale-like movie with a happy ending. Happy endings makes people happy, don't they?

Oh yeah, I saw how Mr Ow made announcement to the whole school today. Before, I thought it was some cool machine doing the deed. Or maybe there was a small room in the office where you got all the sound controls and stuff, but today I realised that the facinating thing was just a small small machine that looks very square-ish -.-

Milk tea was still superb, rich and creamy. It bought back happy memories at pasir ris.

By the way, my class won 150 dollars ben&jerry's voucher for being the most participative class in science fiesta. Can write in cca testimonial. haha.

Today I got a clearer idea about my career prospects after disucssing about university courses with C and E in the morning.

Anyhow, I asked my mum a question over dinner today.
What if I want a career in law, what if I wanna be a public prosecutor.
( BTW, being a public prosecutor was my ambition in primary school)

And she told me that I cannot-make-it!

CIP @ Sembawang was totally slack. Early in the morning go knock on the doors of the residents and tell them to pledge to be clean, don't litter and bag their litter was quite fun due to the different scenarios encountered, haha. Treatment of the CIP people were not bad, got buffet for lunch :D

I knocked on a door that housed 3 dogs (maltese I think) and they can bark really loud!

Sidetrack: Nokia Care is seriously screwed.

Anyway school starts tomorrow, and lessons end at 5:05.
Monday blues, together with dissmisal at 5:05 is like super horrible :(

Dan Brown's Angels and Demons is very exciting. Somehow, it makes me feel guilty for disliking physics, because in the book, physics is so so so exciting and everything. Oh my.

Went to crash PRSSCO camp yesterday. Rainy days are nice, however rain together with outdoor activities isn't fun at all. Watched the juniors play games, indoors. Sometimes they say funny stuff and play weird games. HAHA.

Sidetrack: I don't know why it rains now. The rainy season isn't this time of the year. Crap, another regret not taking geog.

I guess the highlight of the day was monopoly at E's place. Homework session became playing session. I laughed a lot yesterday, and I have not done so for a longggggg time..
Shall not elaborate on the monopoly-fun yesterday because... I'm lazy.

Angels and Demons is so exciting. I refuse to do my homework just because I wanna finish reading it. :O

Currently my nose has a life of its own. Sometimes it runs, sometimes it doesn't. I get running noses like once in 365 days. So yeah, my nose is irritaing me now.

Its the long awaited March holidays but it doesn't feel like holidays cause there is so much work to do! I haven't started doing any of the assignments, but from what I know, the chemistry assignment is very difficult. -_-

Which means that I will have a lot of brain cells, dead by the time i finish the tutorial.
And and I got to catch up on a lot of things due to my auto-shut downs/sleepmodes in lectures weeks ago.

Life in mj is tiring, I don't get enough sleep, and I feel hungry in lectures and tutorials.
Food is super limited in mj. I eat the food till I super sick of it already. I dunno why, last time I could eat rice everyday at prss and don't feel sian. and and and mj's food is ex!!
Wednesdays and fridays (slack days in prss) are now co days. Wake up at 6 reach home at 7 that kind of days. Also, I got alot of tutorials undone and its second week of school only. I dare not imagine the amount of workload later on..

Therefore, I conclude that poly life might be better.
Poly-s should do something like first3weeks so that people can go experience poly too :D

Just now I was watching stairway to heaven with the food in my mouth, pen in my hand but I wasn't chewing the fish cracker or doing the tutorial, my eyes were glued to the google box. Which means that I cannot multi-task.

My sister commented that I have lost the gift of multi-tasking, I was able to tv-eat-do homework-chat at the same time last year, but now I can't even do 2 things at one time, nowadys when two people talk to me I can only concentrate on 1 or I'll be lost.
I'm very sad, I'm lag and can't multi-task :(

Hello, life at mj has been great so far. I'm starting to get used to lectures and college, and I think that my present combination works for me.
Anyhow, this week was quite free, but with the new timetable starting from nextweek, i would not be so free anymore :(

Anyway I have been eating everytime there is a break in the past week, and I cannot continue to do this anymore, or I'll grow fatter and my face would be rounder and everything. So far I have tried almost every stall's food in mj, not too bad, and I heard horror stories about the noodles from a classmate.
Oh yeah, and today I witnessed 2 crafty birds stealing food from a plate!

mjco training is still as tiring as ever, most probably because the practises very straining, as compared to slack-ish prssco's... Its weird lah. Everytime after co practise, I straightaway go to sleep, haha.

I like my class, we are very united. Today we just guang ming zheng da and sneaked out of school to go macs illegally, haha. The reason for sneaking out? Food in MJ is not appealing :x
Anyway, we were quite lucky cos the haixin people behind us were caught by teachers, so yeah. And I like my class people. They are so funny (:

Lectures are so different from normal secondary school classroom lessons, and everything is done in a fast pace, and the lecture halls are freezing and the stupid table is thouse that will keep sliding one so you can't fall asleep in class despite favourable conditions, hurhur.

More lectures tomorrow! The principalm says we should enjoy the luxury of having block periods of free time, for now.

Hello.

I had a fufilling day yesterday. I realised that people born in the late 1980s have problems waking up, haha. Went to school early in the morning to visit my cutecute juniors. Everything was pretty much the same, you see people doing the following actions: slacking, stoning, talking, practising, eating,and playing handphone games.

It makes me feel so old lah, like I was doing all of the above actions (except playing handphone games) like a few months ago, haha.

And I saw a junior running up and down to find teacher-ic to print stuff. She claims that it isn't an act of SK, but it is lor!

Oh by the way, I was sad-ded when I saw my cello number eight's black stickers dropping. They look like bird shit now -__-

In the afternoon, I watched Nanking with two of my BFF-s. And the flim made me think a lot, and I'm beginning to doubt...
anyway the flim made me realise that not all foreginers are as bad as what they say in history tb, and they should make nanking like case study leh. Can learn alot of life lessons from that, alone.

Actually I want that book back, but it is a matter of principles.. right?

One day, Char Siew Pau and Maggie Mee had a big fight. Maggie Mee beat Char Siew Pau until it had bruises all over it's body. Char Siew Pau lost the fight and went back to tell the pau family all about it.

Chicken Pau, Tau Sa Pau, Liang Rong Pau and etc were told, then together all the paus went to look for Maggie Mee for revenge.

On the way, they met Spaghetti. All the paus ran towards Spaghetti and beat the hell out of Spaghetti till it can't say a word.

Hello, this week just flew by, and you know what?
This is the first time I felt so happy being busy, cause I have something to do and stop my pig lifestyle! :D

Anyway, prom is next friday, so have to go shopping.

I initially thought that I could buy my stuff next monday. Afterall, rushing quite fun what. Like rush hour. Then HJ had to remind me that we have 8 days to prom on one evening, so it became very scary.

You know, when you do a little survey (kaypo-ing) then find out that almost everyone bought something already? The feeling is like _______ (insert word here).

and I hate countdowns. It reminds me of 'O's :(

Hello, I just blog-hopped and realised that majority of my friends are working.
As in... like out of 10 people, 9 are working.

And I'm ~~rotting~~ er no, staying at home to do whatever I wanted to do after the big O's. Like sleeping until the sun is in mid-way, watching dvds, as well as YouTube-ing like nobody's business, and of course, the ultimate aim: ROT AT HOME.

Do nothing lah, basically.

I guess that my life nowadays is pretty boring, to the extent that I wake up at twelve, eat and watch a little telly, and go back to sleep at two and wake up in the evening. And taking the lift downstairs and climb back to the nineth storry. Yes, I am that bored. Hur.

Maybe my life will change on monday when i go for CO practises in mj. Or I shall go work. And stop whining. -.-

The Rotting Days I

Two days of doing nothing exciting, hurhur.

Anyway, my dad thinks that I'm super free.

He told me to paint the toilets at home -.-

And my hands were a little itchy on monday evening, so I decided to paint my room! Actually not room la, my sister will kill me. So I went on to paint the mirror wall. You know, open the mirror got the white surface?

And that part of mirror is mine so my sister cannot complain! :D

Painting a small part of your room the Wendy way!

Firstly, go flip some magazine and find some pattern that you like.

Then, go trace out the pattern on some paper that can let you er.. copy out the design easily on another surface.

Then find somewhere to display your talent. (Somewhere no one can complain! [: )

See the circled portion? That is where I draw.

Following, copy out the pattern. It makes your hand super tired after a few minutes. Worse that writing essays.

Then start to paint!

I know that I haven't painted finish, not that I do not wish to but the paint brushes at home are too think and makes my patterns look weird :x

Note to self: must buy paint brushes.

interesting insight into decision making‏

A group of children were playing near two railway tracks, one still in use, while the other disused. Only one child played on the disused track, the rest on the operational track. The train is coming, and you are just beside the track interchange. You can make the train change its course to the disused track and save most of the kids. However, that would also mean the lone child playing by the disused track would be sacrificed. Or would you rather let the train go its way?

Let's take a pause to think what kind of decision we could make...

Most people might choose to divert the course of the train, and sacrifice only one child. You might think the same way, I guess. Exactly, to save most of the children at the expense of only one child was rational decision most people would make, morally and emotionally. But, have you ever thought that the child choosing to play on the disused track had in fact made the right decision to play at a safe place?

Nevertheless, he had to be sacrificed because of his ignorant friends who chose to play where the danger was. This kind of dilemma happens around us everyday. In the office, community, in politics and especially in a democratic society, the minority is often sacrificed for the interest of the majority, no matter how foolish or ignorant the majority are, and how farsighted and knowledgeable the minority are. The child who chose not to play with the rest on the operational track was sidelined. And in the case he was sacrificed, no one would shed a tear for him.

The great critic Leo Velski Julian who told the story said he would not try to change the course of the train because he believed that the kids playing on the operational track should have known very well that track was still in use, and that they should have run away if they heard the train's sirens. If the train was diverted, that lone child would definitely die because he never thought the train could come over to that track! Moreover, that track was not in use probably because it was not safe.

If the train was diverted to the track, we could put the lives of all passengers on board at stake! And in your attempt to save a few kids by sacrificing one child, you might end up sacrificing hundreds of people to save these few kids. While we are all aware that life is full of tough decisions that need to be made, we may not realize that hasty decisions may not always be the right one. 'Remember that what's right isn't always popular... and what's popular isn't always right.' Everybody makes mistakes; that's why they put erasers on pencils.

Wednesdaywas slack. went to school for two hours and got back bad report slip, damn sad. But at the same time, it serves as a reminder for me to study hard =)

okay, sometimes only.

Thursday was quite a productive day :D

Friday was bad. Today's mugging was super unproductive. Went to puay kee teo to study with J, and we just went off after one hour la, which was quite a trait of all lu-zhe-s, haha
and yes, today was a super unproductive day cause I went to sleep when I reached home, all the way till five plus. Which means that I wasted a beautiful Friday sleeping -.-
Which means that I got 1 less day to study...
Which means that I got to compress and process information in my super lag 128Mb brain.
Which is BAD NEWS.

and J is not amused by my joke. But i don't care, its funny what. Hurhur/

A broken friendship

I remembered this conversation of ours over the phone, while I was at NTUC.

"I like pokka apple tea leh. Now on offer at NTUC."

"Eh is blueberry tea on offer too?"

"No..."

"Knew it. BB tea is the hot favourite and rarely do you see it on offer"

"Really? I never drink before..."

This was how blueberry tea was introduced to me.
Subsequently, we didn't talk about anything anymore.

And I don't want to be friends with you anymore. Ever.
